Michelle Ribbens, believes that Classical Pilates found her !!! After having a Discectomy Surgery, to remove a herniated disc in 2017, Michelle was searching for something !!! But didn’t know what.  Then she found Jeanique Lascar.  

After a few months working with Jeanique she discovered the transformation on how Classical Pilates can really bring you back to health through breath and movement.  Due to this Michelle was hungry to learn and explore, in which she signed up for the “Advance Teacher Training Program” with

 “The Pilates Centre” in Boulder Colorado.

Michelle’s background is a Dancer and started dancing at the age of four and went on to train at the“The Centre of Performing Arts”  based in London, UK. Michelle Studied the “The Imperial Society of Dance Teachers” 

Associate in Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern.


Michelle’s career as a Dancer and Choreographer working with many companies across the UK but the Highlight was working on Cruise Ships for 7 years. 

In addition to her professional repertoire, Michelle has broadened the scope of her art having danced around the world in numerous continents. Michelle then arrived in Dubai in 2009 and opened up Prima Performing Arts 

Dance school in 2010. 

 

Michelle is looking forward to her journey as a Pilates teacher!

Since starting my pilates journey with Michelle, my life has changed, in more ways than one. My fitness levels have risen and the movement of my knee which was my main concern has got so much better I have no pain in it at all. I sleep better and I feel so much more aware of my body and mind. Every lesson I have I always come out feeling energised and so much more positive.

I started pilates last year with michelle . Pilates had been recommended by friends and physiotherapist for along time before I eventually tried it ,  I was always hesitant to try though as I have suffered with back problems since I was a young adult and from past experiences with  doing fitness classes i had always ended up with back pain and I feeling worst than when I started the class.
From my very first class I knew I had to continue pilates!!  Michelles approach and care is above and beyond and from my very first session my back felt better and each week I feel fitter and stronger than ever and that’s what pilates and any exercise should be about – feeling good during and after and  strengthening the muscles and core .
The passion really does show with the care you get your not just a number, Michelle will look and work out your body and how it works and where it’s strengths and weaknesses are . I’ve learnt a lot and feel great  😊

Michelle has an exceptional ability to observe bodies and give precise , targeted instructions to ensure awareness and correct technique for each exercise.

Michelle is an amazing Pilates instructor who can adapt workouts to match your needs for that day. She is sensitive to the individual needs of each person in her classes including those like me who are recovering from an injury.

What I love most is that Michelle makes the classes fun and although they can be tough I always finish with a smile on my face and feel a million times better.
